Mahatma Gandhi , An apostle Of Non Violence.                         I object to violence because when it appears to do good,the good is only temporary;the evil   it does is permanent.                                                                                              The above statement was said by a person who is not only a excellent lawyer but also a freedom fighter , influencer and a worldwide reknowned brand ambassador of non violence . He is none other than Mohandas karam Chand Gandhi( in short Mahatma Gandhi)the father of our nation.Our loving Gandhiji was born on 2nd October ,1869  .His father's name was karam Chand Gandhi and Mother's name was Putulibai.He was born in a very respected family where his father was a Dewan and mother was a devoted ,pious lady.From his mother he inherited the firm belief in God.                                                                                            "Mahatma Gandhi is respected as the ambassador of peace and harmony by the entire world".There are institutes for studies of Gandhiji's methods.There is a PG course too in Gandhian peace ."Gandhiji was taken as an example by Martin Luther King Jr in USA and Nelson Mandela in South Africa". Gandhiji firmly believed that joy and prosperity for the mankind in the world can only be  brought by peace and mutual respect for the different cultures  and religions that we follow.                                                                                Gandhiji taught us that the power that is secured with love is much more greater than that is snatched by frightening people.That power will last permanently.One needs to fight but peacefully and non violently, with courage.We could use use protest ,non co-operation,civil disobedience,silent suffering breaking of laws andfilling of jails to fight against violence and atrocities.we do neither agree nor yield to the enemy.The best way to resolve conflicts by constructive discussions .                                                                      Has Gandhiji been some selfish ,he couldn't have become the father of  the nation nor his tools of peace could have succeeded.One of his tools of non violence "satyagraha". Satyagraha means resisting untruth by truthful means.Gandhiji explained in a speech in 1917.It can be offered at any place,at any time and by any person,even though he may be a minority one.If one remains steadfast in it in a spirit of dedication,It always brings success."satyagraha knows neither frustration nor despair.                                                          In 1913 , South African Government that only Christian marriages were valid,in a blatant attack on the Indian community ,which was largely Hindu and Muslim.Gandhiji organised new matches and publicly called for the burning of registration certificates.Indians through out South Africa were Inspired by Gandhiji joined in his campaign.Gandhiji said that "they will put us in prison ,they will torture us  and they will kill us but we will not fight back  nor we will give in and so our victory is assured".As the jail's filled up and the world announced the racist repression ,the government cave in  into the growing pressure.In the movement of Indian freedom struggle,he also encouraged many Indians to use nonviolence.Including himself in Indian national Congress Gandhiji started non -cooperation movement in which  Indians were asked not to co-operate in any activities of British.Gandhiji's protest didn't always go as planned.He was imprisoned on numerous occasions.One of the famous protest was "Dandi March on March 21 . Gandhiji and thousands of Indians marched 400kms to produce their own salt that was brought in India went to Britain. Just because Gandhiji was in jail that didn't mean he would stop fighting for his rights. Anytime Gandhi heard about any violence,he would go on a hunger strike until it stopped .                                                                                         We can die for any noble causes that bring peace to the world but killing is not justified whatever the reason or cause be.Gandhiji said that if we continue " take an eye for an eye then the whole world will end up blind ".We all are human at the bottom of our heart . The peaceful approach will bring out those humanitarian feelings from the enemy at one point of time.                                                                                     According to a research, in the 2 hrs after an angry outburst ,the chance of having a heart attack increases.So Gandhiji is also keeping our health intact  by his non violence and peaceful ways.                    "Change yourself you are in control".                                                                                           By Mahatma Gandhi.                                                                                                               Gandhiji experimented with his life as few others have . He was at once a devoted, spiritual, religious person as well  as an astuate politician. Gandhiji introduced an entirely new way of leadership to organise and run nations and to transform cultures of violence into culture of non violence.                                                                                                                  "You must be the change you wish to see in the world".  Gandhiji definitely proved his words by his life.
